Terms of service

These terms apply between Goodbirch, operated by DEC ehf. (reg. no. 471119-1720) ("we"), and the merchant installing Yulebox ("you"), in addition to Shopify's terms.
The service
Yulebox shows an advent calendar on your store: one door a day, each with a reward you choose (discount codes, free shipping, free products, gifts with purchase or a prize pool) or a story. You decide the rewards and are responsible for honouring them and for running the promotion lawfully in your country, including any rules on competitions and prize draws and on consent for marketing email. Designs and texts drafted with AI are suggestions: check them before they go live.
Plans and billing
Yulebox has one plan. It starts with a 14-day free trial; after that it is billed yearly by Shopify on your Shopify invoice, and charges, cancellation and refunds follow Shopify's billing terms. Cancel during the trial and you pay nothing. When the plan ends, your calendars stop showing on your store; discount codes already issued keep working until they expire. The plan includes a monthly allowance of AI runs, shown in the app.
Your data
You remain the controller of your customers' data; we process it on your behalf as described in our privacy policy.
Availability
We aim for the calendar to be available at all times but do not guarantee it. If the service is unavailable, the calendar does not show; the rest of your store is not affected.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, our total liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Changes
We may update these terms and will tell you in the app before material changes take effect.
