Getting started

1. Open Yulebox in your Shopify admin and start the free trial.
2. Create a calendar: its dates, who can open doors (email sign-up is recommended) and its language.
3. Put a reward or a story behind each door, and pick a theme or design your own from your artwork.
4. Try it in Test & preview, or turn on test mode to try it on your store, behind a password if you like.
5. Press Activate. Your calendar has its own page at your-store.com/apps/advent; link it from your menu. Or add the Advent calendar block to any page in the theme editor.

Common questions

Can shoppers open doors early? No. Only today's door opens, at midnight in your store's time zone. Doors they opened stay open.

Where do sign-ups go? To your Shopify customers, with the calendar's tag. Those who tick the box are subscribed to email marketing, so Shopify Email or Klaviyo picks them up.

Can I test it before December? Yes. Test mode runs the calendar on any date you pick, with test codes or real ones.

Does it slow my store down? The calendar loads after your page, only where you placed it.

What happens after the last door? The calendar thanks shoppers and keeps opened doors readable. Results stay in the app for 13 months, so you can compare next season.
